Wedding Photography, April and Michael Shannon

Last month I was the second shooter for my friend Linsday of Picture Perfect by Lindsay in photographing the wedding of April and Michael Shannon.  The day was a cold and windy one with just a little bit of blue sky here and there, but no rain thankfully!  We arrived at Magnolia Manor and headed over to the cute cottage that the girls were getting ready in and got to see the flowers and talk about some different images we could capture there.

Here is April’s bouquet that I decided to hang in the beautiful light fixture.

And the rings sitting inside the flowers.  Love Michael’s wedding band!

The bride, her bridesmaids and her flower girl all arrived and got ready and we went to work on capturing images of them.  April looked like a princess in her dress and her flower girl, Cami, Michael’s daughter, was absolutely adorable!  The girls dresses were a magnificent tiffany blue that seems to be a hot color this year, as three of the last weddings that I have photographed have had the same color of blue in different style dresses.

Cami was all smiles for the camera!  What a beautiful princess she was!

And April, the princess bride indeed.  What a fabulous dress!

Here she is on the porch in some beautiful soft light. Gorg!!

And of course we had to get a sassy shot.  Love the smirk!

And one captured inside the door of the cottage.  Totally Vogue!

After the wedding a chilly reception was underway and lot of dancing took place, but nothing topped the first dance that April and Michael had as a married couple!  Here is one of the images I captured from their first dance.

Beautifully lost in each other.  LOVE!

Thank you Lindsay for asking me to assist you, I had a blast!!  To April and Shannon, may this love you share be something that never grows anything but deeper and stronger!  It was an honor to be a part of your special day.

  1. I love your take on the photos. I hadn’t seen the one with the veil. I really like it. Thanks again for your help at the wedding 🙂
