Rain, we know it helps to make the grass grow, the flowers bloom and it cools off the hot temperatures in the humid summer air. However it’s not usually what you are looking for on the day of your senior portrait shoot. It can however be a beautiful thing! That is what Raegan, her mom and I discovered when I photographed her for her senior ambassador high school portrait session. We knew the rain was headed our way, but it looked like it would miss us or just pass right over.
Here are some of the images we captured when the sun was still out.
And this is the one right before the rain came.
And when the rain did come we were by the pavilion, and a big one at that. But like I said, sometimes the rain is a happy accident that you get to enjoy. We took the opportunity of the rain to take some shots of Raegan in the rain, and WOW!
Here is my favorite one from the shoot in classic Black and White.
So sometimes you get amazing! And now Raegan can check taking pictures in the rain off her bucket list. 🙂
