Monday Family Pictures, Historic Tennessee Theatre, Knoxville TN, Noelle Bell Photography

A few months ago Noelle Bell Photography had the privilege of photographing Travis, Rachel and Eli Monday at the Historic Tennessee Theatre where Travis works.  We had the run of the theatre and were able to go to some places in the theatre that I had never seen before.  Rachael had been wanting some images of the family in the theatre since Travis had been working there for a few years now.  We spent most of our time capturing Eli and even Travis got in on the fun (I told him it wouldn’t be that painful).  Here are some of the images we captured from our time in the theatre.  This first one is my favorite of all three of them!

After a consultation with Travis about the images that he had in mind and a look around the theatre a few days before, I had a good idea of the flow we needed for the shoot.  If Eli was a bit older we probably could have taken a lot more time, but it was dinner and nap time so we had about an hour and we were able to get all of the images done in the hour we had.

As for the rest of the images, I’ll let Rachel and Travis share them.  Thank you both for all the fun we had on the shoot.  And thank you to Bill and Rocky for all of your assistance, I couldn’t have done it without your help.

Family Pictures from the Holidays, Noelle Bell Photography

The Christmas holidays were so relaxing and allowed for some fun times with our families!  The fun times included some much needed R&R at Grady’s house and a Batman movie marathon!  Both Grady and I got the same movies for Lynn for Christmas, knowing he loves to collect the DC & Marvel comic movies, so now Lynn can watch them with his dad anytime, and he can watch them here anytime.  Lucky man…  🙂  We both had a wonderful time and here is a great picture I got of Lynn with his dad.  They certainly look like father and son don’t they!

On Christmas day as tradition holds, the whole of Lynn’s family on his mother’s side of the family, all gather at his Mamaw’s house for Christmas lunch and time with the cousins.  It was a full house, although not as full as other years, and we got to catch up with everyone.  Jamie brought his almost one year old son and it was the first time I had seen Jackson, but let me tell you he was a cutie!  Just look at that grin!  He took center stage with all the girl cousins while he was there.  Dave and Lynn got to catch up and talk and of course they all got the same gifts, so they were sporting their scarves this year.  Mamaw took some time to open the gifts for herself, and of course I snagged a few pictures of the kids, Josh, Kendra and Alyssa!

We stayed afterwards and I helped put all the food away and clean up while Lynn stayed in the kitchen with his Mamaw to talk as he did the dishes.   We got plenty of loving in on the cats, if you read yesterday’s post, you saw Fluffy and Bitty, although we only saw her new cat for about 3 seconds as she darted to a new hiding spot!  It was a very good Christmas time with family indeed!

A few days later we made it to mom and dad’s in VA for a few days stay and the nice thing was that this time we mostly hung around the house and relaxed, with only one day of going out to do a little shopping while the men went to some historical museum I think.  Time at mom and dad’s house was filled with fun and lots of laughter.  The night after we opened gifts we all sat in the living room in our new fleece pants!   In the afternoon dad had to watch the VA Tech game and mom was just finished drying the new fleece pants, so dad got in his fleece pants to help VA Tech win, and they finally pulled out of the hole and won, so I guess the lucky pants will now appear every time there is a game!  🙂

Saturday evening I decided to play the piano and wow, yes it was a small miracle I didn’t kill anyone’s eardrums, although I know I tested moms.  I used to play on our piano at home, well that was a long time ago.  Mom decided it would be good to have her play the bottom hand while I played the top hand….oh my goodness.  How horrible and yet hysterical it was to try that!  We got to laughing so hard!  Somehow the guys just ignored us and kept talking in the same room.

Then after mom played some by herself, I told her I wanted to play my favorite hymn.  Now mind you my bad playing was still ringing in her ears when she looked at the hymn and said “you are going to play that”?  Oh I could see it now….it was the one hymn I played for years and I loved it.  I used to be able to play it with two hands.  Well I started small and played it with just one hand, and then mom’s amazement grew, and so did mine a bit – I didn’t realize how well that my fingers remembered that song.  I not only played it well, but I tried it with two hands and didn’t do too bad, although I had to play it much slower.  So, now I want t a piano again.  I do enjoyed playing it, but would love to get better at it.

And finally the pictures of the pants!  We tried to line up so we would not clash, So here we are, mom with the owl’s, Lynn with the smiley faces, Me with the snowflakes and dad alternating with his VT pants and his blue pants.

Overall it was a wonderful vacation and very relaxing.  Thanks to everyone it was great to have the time to relax!  I hope you had a very relaxing holiday as well.

Top 20 Images of 2012, Noelle Bell Photography Knoxville TN

2012 has come and gone and with it so many wonderful memories and so many things have happened here at Noelle Bell Photography, both good and bad.

The bad can be summed up with one thing, falling and fracturing my foot while loading up things for the bridal show in March.  So I was off my foot completely for March and April and in a boot.  I was not up to shooting until late May and even then it was just a little.  So in July and the following months I began to get back into the groove of shooting and growing my business.  I did discover that bones don’t heal as quickly as they do when you are younger.

In August I had the joyous opportunity to leave my day job and take Noelle Bell Photography full-time!  I was so excited and there were now hours in the day for all the things that I had spent many hours late at night doing.  My husband and I took our first vacation in 3 years and then with the fall season I spent many hours photographing families, more 2013 graduating high school seniors and building my Christmas set in the studio in preparation for the holidays.  The holiday portraits were wonderful and I finally can share some of the images with the families that were saving the images for holiday gifts.

Last night we rung in the new year after taking a week off and spending it with family and friends and remembering what the reason for the season truly is about.  As 2013 begins, I wanted to sum up some of my favorite images from 2012 and say a very special thank you to all of my clients that I have had the privilege of working with and thank you so much for making this year truly special!

Here is a look back on 2012 and the top 20 images from last year here at Noelle Bell Photography.  There were so many great images to choose from and so many that I hated to cut, but these were by far my favorite ones!  These images are in no particular order.

Happy New Year to all of you and I look forward to serving you in 2013 here at Noelle Bell Photography, Knoxville TN

Christmas Ornaments make great Christmas presents, Knoxville Holiday Portrait Photographer

Holiday ornaments are a great present to give to family and friends this Christmas season.  Just the other day I received two of the sample ornaments that I will be including in my Christmas packages this year!  These are only two of the different sizes that will be offered!  These will make a great addition to any holiday gifts you want to give to your clients or just a nice family memory to add to the Christmas tree for this year and they are at a very affordable price of $30.

Here is one of the sample shapes I ordered from the holiday session with Stacie and Andy Johnson.

And here is the second shape from my session with the Hotchkiss family!

These ornaments can be purchased from any sessions in 2012 and it’s just a great gift for parents and grandparents or a special way to remember the year on your own Christmas tree this year!  It’s even a great way to remember your high school seniors as they will be off to college next year.

These ornaments are metal and will come in a sweet little cloth that you can use to preserve them when you go to pack the ornaments away at the end of the season.

So if you are wondering what to get for Christmas this year, look no further and call Noelle Bell Photography today to order your ornaments today!

Fun afternoon with Miss Emily, Christmas Pictures

Yesterday was a good day to catch up emails, create a long to-do list and then check it off one by one.  I also had a great visit from my good friend Becky and her daughter Emily.  It was fun to capture some great pictures of her having fun with all the decorations and the Christmas ornaments  while Becky and I caught up.  I can’t say that I have a totally child-proof home, but we did put the Christmas tree ornaments through the ringer today!  🙂

Here are some of my favorites from today!

Emily is growing up so fast!  But boy is she adorable!

Thanks Becky for a great visit.  I look forward to catching up again soon.

Holiday Portraits in Knoxville TN, Noelle Bell Photography

It’s hard to believe that fall is quickly going by and the holidays are just around the corner!  The studio at Noelle Bell Photography has been eagerly awaiting the Holiday season, the tree is trimmed and the set is dressed and ready!  The studio has been playing Christmas music for a few weeks now, and the coffee flavor has even reflected the season!

Some of my good friends and past clients came to help me get some images of the set with their families, and we have had a lot of fun!  We got to utilize the Christmas tree, presents and even the Christmas bear was a hit!  The BELIEVE blocks were utilized in ways that captured some beautiful images as well!  So here are some of the images from the red and white themed holiday set this year.

Here are a few more of my favorites from the sessions last week with Stacie and Andy Johnson, a couple who’s wedding I had the privilege of photographing almost 2 years ago and they have become good friends as well as clients.

And here is one of my favorite’s from the Christmas set we took with the Hotchkiss family!  Nathan spelled every single one of these letters, but he really wanted that iPhone for Christmas…hint hint dad, he’s bound to be a tech-guru!

And here’s one more with the BELIEVE blocks.

Have you taken your Christmas pictures yet?  If not and you are looking to schedule a session, please contact me via email, through my website, or you can just fill out the form below to schedule your holiday pictures today!  Candy Canes treats are available at all sessions!

We look forward to seeing you soon in the Noelle Bell Photography studio for your holiday portraits!
