Mark and April Brooks, Engagement Favorites, Knoxville TN, Noelle Bell Photography

It has been a busy season and I know I have posted some of my favorites’s from Mark and April’s engagement session back in May, before their wedding on June 1st.   I’m getting ready to deliver their wedding album to them and I realized I never posted a wedding post, so I’ll follow up this with a wedding and a wedding album post.

So here are some of my favorite images from their engagement session!  And to Mark and April, happy 6 month anniversary!  Have a wonderful holiday season as husband and wife.

Merry Christmas!

Mark and April, Engagement Session Knoxville TN, Noelle Bell Photography

Back in January, my friend Mark Brooks contacted me to let me know he was getting married in June.  He and his fiance wanted to talk about having me cover the wedding photography.  We set up a time to meet, and I began coming down with a cold the night they came, but they said it was okay.  My head was foggy and I wasn’t even sure if I shared everything once, twice or if it all made sense, but they called me back a few weeks later to discuss the details and tell me that they wanted me to cover both their wedding day and rehearsal dinner.  I love getting to spend time with the couples with whom I have the privilege of photographing their wedding.  It has been wonderful getting to know April and Mark and their love for animals, a common thread as we both have cats!

April has been a joy getting to know.  She has often asked for my professional opinion and that means the world to me when a client allows me to speak into and share advice on what to do for their day or in the planning stages of the wedding.  Another thing I love is that she has an amazing smile, and when she and Mark get to laughing, it’s the best thing to watch.  Her favorite kind of chocolate is also the same as mine – dark chocolate, so I surprised her with a box of her favorites from Godiva at the engagement session.    I even got a sneak peek at her GORGEOUS wedding dress and well all I have to say is she is going to look STUNNING!

This past weekend, just a few weeks prior to the wedding, I captured their engagement pictures.  The weather cooperated and the late afternoon/evening hours were gorgeous.  We met up at Remedy Coffee in the old city in downtown Knoxville.  It’s one of my favorite coffee shops and they have a loft that you can rent for an hourly rate.  So not only did I get to have my favorite Hazelnut latte, the best in Knoxville for sure, but we got to relax in the quiet of the loft while Natalie did April’s hair and makeup for the session and I took pictures of the amazing engagement ring!  (You did good Mark!)  We came back there after the first location shoot so they could change, we could all get something to drink and enjoy some air-conditioning and redo some of the front curls in April’s hair, as the dampness in the air had taken out some of the curl.  We wound up with some amazing shots, even if we did all get a tiny bit hungry.  (Sorry Mark!)

Here is a collage of images that I put together of my favorite pictures from the session.  I may even order a canvas of this for the studio I like it so much!

So with only about 2 1/2 weeks until their wedding, Mark and April I can’t wait to share the special day with you and create some amazing memories that will last you a lifetime.  Just remember if you start to get stressed in the coming weeks, have one of those amazing truffels! 🙂

No matter when in life you find your special ONE, always take time to capture the memories!

Top 20 Images of 2012, Noelle Bell Photography Knoxville TN

2012 has come and gone and with it so many wonderful memories and so many things have happened here at Noelle Bell Photography, both good and bad.

The bad can be summed up with one thing, falling and fracturing my foot while loading up things for the bridal show in March.  So I was off my foot completely for March and April and in a boot.  I was not up to shooting until late May and even then it was just a little.  So in July and the following months I began to get back into the groove of shooting and growing my business.  I did discover that bones don’t heal as quickly as they do when you are younger.

In August I had the joyous opportunity to leave my day job and take Noelle Bell Photography full-time!  I was so excited and there were now hours in the day for all the things that I had spent many hours late at night doing.  My husband and I took our first vacation in 3 years and then with the fall season I spent many hours photographing families, more 2013 graduating high school seniors and building my Christmas set in the studio in preparation for the holidays.  The holiday portraits were wonderful and I finally can share some of the images with the families that were saving the images for holiday gifts.

Last night we rung in the new year after taking a week off and spending it with family and friends and remembering what the reason for the season truly is about.  As 2013 begins, I wanted to sum up some of my favorite images from 2012 and say a very special thank you to all of my clients that I have had the privilege of working with and thank you so much for making this year truly special!

Here is a look back on 2012 and the top 20 images from last year here at Noelle Bell Photography.  There were so many great images to choose from and so many that I hated to cut, but these were by far my favorite ones!  These images are in no particular order.

Happy New Year to all of you and I look forward to serving you in 2013 here at Noelle Bell Photography, Knoxville TN

Reunion

Today is the day, I’m heading up to Pigeon Forge to later today meet up with a lot of colleagues in my photography group, as well as I will also be spending time this weekend getting to know many of colleagues and new friends from across this great state of TN.

Sunday evening I’m really looking forward to seeing Blair Phillips again, too. I say again because last year I went to his workshop at his studio in NC, and he does some amazing stuff.

So it’s time to pack up the gear, get the notebook and all electronic devises charged and head on up. Because if I’m going to Pigeon Forge, I’m going to have to have at least an hour for the outlets…..Ann Taylor to be more specific.

So in honor of the reunion of so many friends, I thought I would post an images of another past gathering of some of these friends where we all participated in a photo shoot. Here is one of the images I captured that I love.

I hope you all have a great weekend and I look forward to posting hopefully a few more images this weekend.
