Recently, I had the wonderful opportunity to take senior pictures for one of my former students at Thursday Connection. When I met Nate, he was a freshman, and now he is about to graduate and head to NJ for college. We took a few cap and gown images for his mom, but after taking the “serious” photos, we had a bit of fun in the studio.
His shoot included a leather jacket and a cool pair of shades. We captured some awesome model shots in black and white.
The photos turned out great and it was a blast. It’s been fun to watch you grow up these last few years Nate. I wish you all the best of luck as you pursue a degree in health science and nutrition and then move on to becoming a nutritionalist to help kids who struggle with diabetes.

My friend Nola and her daughter’s dogs came for a shoot here at the studio. The dogs are Dapple Dachshunds and their names are Gray and Charlie.
Gray is the younger of the two and being the age of — is still considered a puppy. And with puppies it is expected to have high levels of energy however not what I had expected under the circumstances. Gray, two days prior to the shoot, had broken two bones in his paw by jumping on the bed and bounced off ending with a rough landing. He has been in doggy bed rest since the situation and was put on two different medications for the injury. Considering that had happened to the poor, little guy a calm evening was expected….
A broken paw couldn’t stop this dog from running wild, jumping on things, and getting into everything. It was as if a toddler was kept still for a week and the energy exploded out all at once. Chasing the dogs was not helping because it would cause more trouble but Nola’s daughter saved the day with her smart idea. Peanut butter is key to a dog’s heart and their attention span. The majority of the pictures were of the dogs sticking their tongue out, but that’s alright because it adds personality!
Here is a favorite of the both of them towards the end of the shoot.

Carson what to say about Carson!? I have had this kid in Sunday school ever since he was in second grade. I’ve gotten to know his family as I photographed his older sisters Katie for her senior portraits. Now it was time for Carson’s senior pictures. We had a lot of fun starting at Noelle Bell Photography where we captured some images of Carson in his Harden Valley Academy marching band uniform.
Afterwards Carson changed into something casual to take a couple portraits both in the studio and then a few outside behind the studio as we had some beautiful fall colors in the background.
It was a lot of fun to photograph this with my intern Carissa I have also had her ever since she was a rising first grader in Sunday school. She was my intern all semester so let me tell you this session especially so entertaining because everybody knew each other from way back so we just had a blast.
After that was all done we decided to take some senior portraits on the road not literally the road but we went just a little bit around the corner and got some sun pictures of him playing the trumpet outside at night.
And then I just let Carson play with fire. Carissa and I took pictures and laughed at how much fun he was having. There are really not any great pictures from this because my wrist was pretty much worn out by this time, so I just took some pictures of him in the fire. We did do a second set with Carson because I wanted to get a few of him and his favorite hoodie!! It’s his mom’s favorite outfit of all time of Carson’s!! He he he…I was just thankful that his shirts didn’t need ironing, even if they both were green.
And here is Amy’s favorite from the second half of the session.
Carson I just want to say that I have loved watching you grow up in the Lord and in life. I’m so excited to see what God’s going to do with you in the future even if you do grow your hair long. 😉

I am so happy to share some of Madeline’s senior portrait images. She is a stunningly beautiful and very talented young lady who attends Webb School of Knoxville who Noelle Bell Photography had the privilege of photographing in the fall with a theatrical like second shoot scheduled for the spring. Madeline lived in Texas before this where she was involved in competitive theatrical programs, so she came to Knoxville, TN with star quality. We didn’t get the second shoot in between the craziness of so many college applications, college visit and her schedule with the spring play she was in at Webb. Her mom came in and to look at the images and she was blown away by how beautiful her daughter was.
Here are some of the images from the shoot we did at Noelle Bell Photography’s studio.
And we ended the shoot with a little bit of snow fall!
And this image was my favorite and a style I don’t usually do, but it leant itself so well to Madeline and the fact that she is often putting herself in different roles, so thought I would try a new style myself. I love how gorgeous this image is and sultry look in her eyes is killer!
Thank you Madeline for letting me capture your star quality! Congratulation on being accepted to so many different schools and for making the hard choice and deciding on an amazing school that I know will be so grateful to have you in their program. I’m know someday I’ll be able to say….”I knew her before she was famous”! Congratulations and best of luck to you in your further, wherever the theatre takes you.

It is wonderful when you have a high school senior to work with who becomes a friend (and fellow coffee lover!) and that is exactly what Lindsay is. She is an amazing young lady both inside and out and beauty comes flooding from her heart. It was a joy to see her this past year grow and graduate and now get ready to head to ETSU for college.
Here are some of my favorite images from Lindsay’s high school senior portraits. She was a wonderful ambassador for me and I loved having a few “extra” sessions with her.
You can see some of my fav’s from her ambassador session here. https://bellphotos.wordpress.com/2013/08/31/lindsay-holt-halls-high-school-2014-senior-spokesmodel-noelle-bell-photography/
And here are some from the special outdoor session we had on a snow day! https://bellphotos.wordpress.com/2014/02/10/snow-day-fun-in-east-tn-3-girls-and-starbucks/
Here are some of my favorites from her senior session.
Good luck as you head off to your next adventures in college Lindsay! I’m looking forward now to photographing her friend Rachel from Halls High School who is in guard in the band.
