Tuesday morning I woke up early to pack my camera and make my lunch in preparation for the hike to Abrams Falls with The Foundry. I wound up packing both of my camera bodies and an extra lens, not really thinking (just in default mode like this was another regular session I would be shooting). This however would later allow me to capture on video (minus sound) a surprise.
I had a blast on this trip! Here are some pics from the kids in our car….the party vehicle!! 😉
Our fearless and sometimes crazy driver!!
We made a stop in Maryville for gas and last time bathroom break.
We got into Cades Cove but then had to go around most of the loop. We kind of stayed in the vehicles…
And then we began the hike!
We arrived at ABRAMS FALLS. It was beautiful.
Then we had a surprise. We had the chance to witness one our kids get baptized. I’m was thankful to have my extra camera as I was able to record it. I don’t have the video up yet, but here is the visual story of Lauren’s baptism.
Congratulations Lauren and may your walk with the Lord be sweet as you walk in the new life he has called you to!
It was a long hike out, but I had sweet conversations and got to know more of the youth. Boy did I sleep hard that night! I think my old body is just a bit out of shape. It was worth it for the great time I had getting to know and enjoying life with these kids.
